How To Cook Chicken On The Stove
How To Cook Chicken On The Stove
If you’re someone that’s new to cooking or just not sure about the right ways for cooking chicken you’ve reached the right place. Cooking chicken is easy to do and work through as it’s an excellent meal that’s moderately easy to put together for a night in alone, your entire family or for when guests come over. Even if you’re used to nothing more than putting in a TV dinner you can do this.
Prior to cooking chicken you’ll need supplies. You’ll want to gather the chicken breasts (amounts dependent on guest/family size), salt and pepper, tongs and a frying pan (medium size).
If you’re someone that isn’t used to cooking anything other than putting a microwave dinner in, this is something that even you can do. It’s moderately easy and through the remaining instructions you can make it seem like you’ve been cooking for years, it’ll taste like it too.
First you need to wash the chicken breasts and like the above it’s completely up to you on how many chicken breasts that you want to cook. Just cook enough for the meal or you could do more to have leftovers. No matter how many you cook you should wash your hands off with soap and water prior to touching anything else after you’ve touched raw chicken.
Get the frying pan and put it on the stove coating it with enough oil to makes sure that the bottom is completely covered. Put the temperature on medium high when you’re cooking chicken. In order to cook both tastier and healthier you should use extra virgin olive oil to coat the pan.
Now let the oil heat up and after a minute or two the oil is going to be hot and it’s time to begin cooking the chicken. Using a pair of tongs you’ll want to put the chicken into the pan. It’s likely the oils going to splatter a bit so don’t be alarmed. Put salt and pepper on the chicken to taste. When the bottom side takes on a golden brown color you’ll want to flip the chicken over. Cooking chicken is going to vary in time dependent on the stove but will usually take 4-6 minutes.
When the time comes you’ll want to turn the chicken over and you’ll then salt and pepper the other side to taste as well.
After you’ve flipped the chicken over you can salt and pepper the other side to taste now. Cook the other side to golden brown just like you did the first. Don’t take the chicken out right away; first cut a small piece off so you can make sure that it’s cooked all the way through. After you’ve done that remove from the pan and serve. After you’ve finished you’ll realize that cooking chicken isn’t that hard and takes no time at all before you’re ready to enjoy an awesome meal.
