Maybe to go with the Japanese meals, folks are learning to prepare Japanese desserts. The best thing is that Japanese dessert recipes are simple to make.
Anmitsu is an example of Japanese dessert that is a favourite amongst many. To make kanten jelly for it, you will want half a stick of kanten, sic tablespoons of sugar, and a teaspoon of lemon juice. For the syrup, you’ll need 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and two-thirds cup of sugar. One-third cup of anko, oranges or peaches will function as toppings for the dessert.
Soak kanten for an hour and tear it into pieces. Put one and two-thirds cup of water in a pot and heat. Add the kanten parts and sugar. Boil, and cook for ten min whilst stirring. Pour the liquid in a flat vessel and let cool. Put one-fourth cup of water and two-thirds mug of sugar in a pan and boil. Add lemon juice and allow it cool. Cut the kanten jelly into little cubes, include the fruits and pour the syrup in. Put anko above and serve.
Onimanju is a cake with sweet potato. To bake this, you’ll need three-fourths lb of satsumaimo,
cut into cubes; small cup of sugar, one cup of all purpose flour, single tablespoon of shiratamako flour, and two tablespoons of milk. Soak the satsumaimo in water for fifteen min. Drain and add sugar, setting it aside for 30 min. Drain it again, this time keeping the liquid, adding in the flour and shiratamako. Mix and add in milk. Add satsumaimo cubes, obtain a spoonful of dough and put on parchment paper. Steam for ten min, allow it to cool, and serve up.
